New Muse Album Still A Long Way Off
September 6, 2008 by Dave Parrack

Muse are probably the best band in the UK, and possibly even the world, right now. But to keep the quality of their material as high as we’ve come to expect it to be, they take an absolute age to release a new album. And it seems they are sticking true to form for the follow-up to 2006’s Black Holes And Revelations.
Muse started working on the new album earlier this year, and just last month announced they had several tracks in the bag for the next album. But it seems the new songs weren’t so much finished as just being started on. So us Muse fans have a little longer to wait than we may have expected.
Two New Songs To Add To Your iPod Playlist | Duffy and The Feeling Strike Again
May 5, 2008 by Dave Parrack
The music channel here at b5 is so extensive, and has such a broad range of tastes, that sometimes we feel the need to come together to explore each other’s musical loves.
To that end, today sees most of us sharing two songs which we think should be added to your iPod playlist. Two may not seem much I know, but it comes to over 40 songs if you compile the list created by us all working as a team. What’s more, it’s guaranteed to be a diverse mix.
Here are my two picks for the day, which are both by British artists, and have been released over the past month. I’ve already reviewed both of them on Killed By The Video Star, so click the title for the YouTube videos, and more.
I hope you enjoyed my choices, and will maybe now try to discover more from the artists themselves. Check back tomorrow for a link post to all of the other sites giving their recommendations for the day.
One Hit Wonders Not To Be Missed
February 29, 2008 by Dave Parrack
The b5 Music Channel recently highlighted their collective choices of one hit wonders.
Some of the blogs went with songs you need to hear, while others focussed on those that you should avoid at all costs.
It makes for some interesting reading, as well as listening and watching thanks to the addition of Songza and YouTube, so check out some of the posts around the network…
