Beyonce Knowles And Take That Set For The X Factor Final Duets?
October 20, 2008 by Dave Parrack

The X Factor is only a couple of weeks in but the artists set to duet with the two finalists are already being lined up. Last year saw Kylie Minogue sing with Leon Jackson, the eventual winner of the show, while Rhydian had Welsh songstress Katherine Jenkins. But the acts being lined up this year are even bigger.
The Daily Star claims that Simon Cowell has asked both Take That and Beyonce Knowles to appear in the final. While it’s highly likely Take That will appear, Beyonce is another level of stardom altogether and secret talks are continuing.
The Police Are Considerably Richer Than You
September 25, 2008 by Dave Parrack

The Police have topped the Forbes Magazine poll to find the highest-earning musicians of 2008. The British rockers beat the likes of Beyonce Knowles and Madonna to come first in the list. Only one other British act featured in the top ten, with Genesis making it to number nine.
The Police managed to rack up income of $115 million over the past year, mainly down to the incredibly successful reunion tour which drew sell out crowds around the world and raked in $84.9 million. That’s an incredible $28.3 million each earned by each member of the group for a year’s work.
The End Of Summer 2008 - The b5 Music Channel Recommends…
August 19, 2008 by Dave Parrack

Over the weekend, I posted My British Soundtrack For Summer 2008. This was five videos which have punctuated my summer so far and are likely to continue doing so for the weeks we have remaining. But I wasn’t the only one on the b5 Music Channel to write about the end of the hot weather.
Oz Music Scene had a different take on it, forced by the fact that it’s the middle of winter in Australia! So Lauren gave us
Seven Aussie Videos To Beat the Winter Blues.
Metal Martyr is the king of all things metal, and he regularly covers my favourite, Megadeth. So for Scott’s feature post he gave us his Summer Metal Picks Playlist.
The Rock Dose is the place to go for all things rock… hence the name. So to celebrate the passing of the season, we have 5 Tracks That Rocked The Summer Of 2008.
Beyonce K is the place to go for every piece of news about the bootylicious Beyonce Knowles. We have a Beyonce-centric Six Songs that Make the End of Summer a Bit Easier.
James Bond Bosses Dithering Over Amy Winehouse Theme Tune - Beyoncé Instead?
May 25, 2008 by Dave Parrack
I’ve been avoiding talking about Amy Winehouse and her efforts to become the next Bond girl, well singer of the theme tune at least, mainly because it was just speculation and I wanted to wait until the official announcement was made.
But this isn’t that, instead it’s more rumour, speculation and gossip about it all… I just couldn’t resist.
It’s been known for a while that bosses of the latest Bond film, Quantum of Solace have been looking at Winehouse as a possible candidate for the theme tune. First it was on, then off (with the studio heads probably concerned about the negative connection with drink and drugs and a jailbird husband) and still nothing has been decided.
Winehouse and Mark Ronson, her friend and producer are reported to have fallen out earlier in the month while trying to record the theme together, with Ronson claiming in the press that she wasn’t ready to make music. But now it seems that they are mates again, and back trying to come up with a winning theme song.
