Things have been a little quiet on the Amy Winehouse front of late. It feels like an absolute age since Amy Winehouse released Back To Black and went from being a little-known British singer to a world famous and world-renowned diva. It’s actually only been three years, with the album released in October of 2006.

Amy Winehouse is now as well-known for her addiction to drugs as she is for her soulful music. Yes according to her father Mitch Winehouse, she has now been drug-free for a year. It comes from Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing on BBC1 and shows Bromfield singing Mama Said. And who’s that providing backing vocals? I certainly hadn’t until she went and won the 2009 Mercury Music Prize in September, beating the likes Glasvegas, La Roux, and Florence and The Machine in the process. This video does show a number of important things though. 1. Amy Winehouse can’t rap. 2. She looks like she’s off her face again. 3. She is at least (and at last) working on new material. 4.
