Rolling Stones Keith Richards Life Story | Is It Worth $9 Million?
July 31, 2007 by Dave Parrack
The Rolling Stones have had a long and varied career, and let’s be honest, they aren’t getting any younger. So it comes as no surprise to learn that Keith Richards, guitarist and founding member of the Rolling Stones is looking to sell the publication rights to his life story.
Ed Victor is auctioning the English language rights in New York this week and offers are likely to approach $7 million. The foreign translation rights on top of that are likely to be worth $2 million adding up to a stupidly high amount of money for book rights.
Keith Richards will apparently be working on the book friend and author James Fox. The autobiography is expected to be ready for publication next year, although that’s yet to be confirmed.
This should be an explosive read with the Rolling Stones debauchery and drug taking well known for the last four decades. The problem is, with all those drugs swilling around in his bloodstream, will the Rolling Stones legend be able to remember his life story?
I’m sure parts of it will be slightly obscure and clouded by whatever chemicals were being consumed at the time. What do they say about the late 60s? If you were there, you can’t remember it.

A chemically induced autobiography–might be a good read, get high from just reading it. Drugged by proxy!
