Coldplay To Stage Two Free Concerts To Promote New Album ‘Viva La Vida’

Coldplay have announced that they will be playing two free concerts to promote forthcoming fourth studio album, Viva La Vida. The shows will take place at London’s Brixton Academy on June 16th and at New York Madison Square Garden on June 23rd.

The shows will be free, with fans being able to win tickets through various means. The band are set to announce how to win on their official website soon.

Earlier in the month we found out the official track listing for the album, which is due out on June 12th.

The first single from the album, Violet Hill, will be premièred on radio tomorrow at 12.15pm, and will then immediately be available for download for free from Coldplay.com.

The chance to hear the new material for the first time, and see the band play live in to the bargain is sure to mean thousands of fans will be likely to apply to win the tickets.
