The Zutons Dropped By Their Record Label
January 15, 2009 by Dave Parrack
The Zutons were/are one of my favorite current British bands. I got into them before most people did, before they were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2004. And well before they, or at least their music, crossed over to the mainstream when Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse covered Valerie in 2006.

The Zutons Blast Glastonbury Ticketing Rules | The Festival Is Now Too Middle Class!
May 21, 2008 by Dave Parrack

According to NME, the festival was due to be held …read more

Well, we at least know that The Zutons were pleased with the cover version of Valerie that Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse released last year, a song they credit with keeping them in the public eye while away recording a new album.
There’s actually debate over which version is better. I plumped for the original by The Zutons when I reviewed them both on Killed By The …read more
