Brit Music Scene Review Of The Year 2008 – Part Two: April To June

2009 is approaching fast and so it’s time to look back at 2008. Here we’ll see the high and lowlights of Spring, with a selection of stories we covered between April and June.
April
The month started, as it always does, with April Fool’s Day, and while Brit Music Scene didn’t hoodwink its readers, YouTube did. I detailed the prank in a post entitled The Day Rick Astley Ruled The World.
I shared my Soundtrack For A Day in the middle of the month, and was joined by other b5 Music bloggers. Meanwhile, Boyzone announced their reunion shows, an event I was ecstatic …read more

Phil Collins Beaten By Gorilla… At Drumming! | New Cadburys Advert Reveals All

You’ve probably already seen this advert for Cadburys Dairy Milk chocolate, either on television in the UK, or via the multitude of emails flying around with it attached.
It shows a giant gorilla sitting at a drum kit listening intently to the start of Phil Collins hit ‘In The Air Tonight’. And then when the drums kick in, so does our ape friend, who proceeds to bash the living hell out of the skins.

Well now it seems that Phil Collins has heaped praise on the monkey, saying:-
“Not only is a better drummer than me, he also has more hair …read more
