20:31 – Coldplay perform Viva La Vida live – the single not the album. They’re wearing those bizarre revolutionary outfits again. The set looks incredible and Chris Martin sounds fantastic as usual.
20:34 – Fearne again, this time chatting to Jamie Oliver and Jamie Cullum, two of the most annoying people known to man. Tempted to turn off for the two minutes this trio are on my screen.

Brit Awards Betting Suspended Due To Paul Weller British Solo Male Artist Support

The Brit Awards 2009 are being held on Wednesday, February 18. Brit Music Scene will be live blogging the event, writing up the results as they come in, and also reporting on the other happenings that usually make the Brits what they are.

The Telegraph today reports that bookmakers have suspended betting on the results of the Brit Awards due to fears the list of winners has leaked. With two days to go to the event, it looks likely that someone has managed to get hold of the prized list.

The Jam, with the Modfather Paul Weller at the helm, were the kings of the late 70s and early 80s. More musically competent than punk bands such as The Sex Pistols, they lead the era of the mod revival, and became the voice of a lost generation.
