Royal Mail Stamp Collection Features Classic Album Covers

Some album covers are instantly forgettable, and only there to liven up an otherwise boring piece of plastic. But some go beyond their intent, and become art that inspires people and sums up periods in their life. And the Royal Mail are now celebrating these album covers with a new collection of stamps.
The album covers being featured in the Classic Album Covers series of stamps are:

I have a great mash up for you today, with New Order superbly mixed with Rihanna. I’m not a big fan of Rihanna, in fact it’s fair to say I hate her.
‘Umbrella’ was a good song, and I liked it the first 20 times I heard it, but after 10 weeks at the top of the UK Charts I’d had my fill of the song and the woman. That’s tainted my view of her for ever I fear.

Tony Wilson Tribute Site | Factory Records & Manchester Music Legend Remembered

Tony Wilson, the founder of the Factory Records label and Manchester music scene legend died earlier this month on August 10th.
Now a website has been set up to collect tributes and remembrances of the man who signed Joy Division and New Order.
On August 10th 2007 Anthony H Wilson died of a heart attack due to complications from cancer. He was only 57, and his funeral on August 20th was attended by a great many people.
Ever since then, tributes and dedications have been pouring in from fans, musicians and celebrities alike.
