8.30pm - Kylie comes on and performs new single Wow! She looks as good as ever, and this year sports a blonde wig. Her dancers look like they are Daft Punk wannabees.
8.33pm - Fearne Cotton chats to Adele and Mika backstage, though the whole section is just an excuse to make money by begging us all to vote for the Best Single of the year.
I, obviously, refuse to bow to Fearne’s obvious charms.
8.39pm - Kelly Rowland arrives on stage to present the award for Best International Male artist.
Nominations - Bruce Springsteen, Rufus Wainwright, Timbaland, Michael Buble, Kanye West. And the winner is…
Kanye wins it, but isn’t there to accept. Are we not good enough for you chipmunk features?!? Thanks Tim Westwood… he will be pleased.
8.42pm - Kelly Osbourne takes the piss out of Sharon for slurring her words. Beth Ditto comes on the obviously reinforced stage to present the award for Best British Male.
Nominations - Newton Faulkner (One hit wonder), Jamie T (Chav), Richard Hawley (old), Mark Ronson (producer), Mika (Camp). And the winner is…
Mark Ronson wins!… ermm, and is a producer, and half American. Does that count? Strange.
For someone who didn’t expect to win, he has a big list of people to thank.
8.46pm - Kaiser Chiefs perform. A band who weren’t happy with their lack of nominations this year.
Best stage set yet, with the miniature city from the Ruby video recreated around them. All that’s missing are the tiny people walking around.
8.50 - Fearne again. Boring… even the delectable Beth Ditto can’t save this link.
8.55 - Sharon has changed, but unfortunately, only her dress, and not in to a good presenter.
International Female Award, presented by Dr Who David Tennant.
Nominations - Rihanna, Feist, Bjork, Alicia Keys, Kylie Minogue. And the winner is…
Kylie! Yeah, thought so, although the fact Rihanna was present made me think she’d grab it.
It takes her an absolute age to get to the stage. Then, she just does the normal crap speech, and there’s not an ounce of controversy. Shocker!
Daughtry were conspicuous by their absence. Why? Did i miss something? Otherwise the show was gr8
