Amy Winehouse Alicia Keys Cover Video Uploaded To YouTube - By Pete Doherty
May 19, 2008 by Dave Parrack
We already knew that Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty were new best friends, and have been spending bags of time with each other, although it was reported that attempts for the pair to record a duet had gone slightly wrong of late. However, two videos were uploaded to YouTube by Doherty over the weekend which show the pair are seemingly inseparable.
The first one which appeared on the site was entitled Winemouse, and shows the pair playing with and talking to some of the baby mice which Doherty’s pet mouse gave birth to recently.
In the video, Doherty compares one of the mice to rival front man Johnny Borrell from Razorlight, while Winehouse appears to try and send a message through one of the mice to husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
In the second video to appear, which is slightly less mad, and more interesting, Winehouse performs a cover of Alicia Keys If I Ain’t Got You. However, Winehouse spends most of the song playing the guitar (badly), leaving singing duties to her god-daughter Dionne D. Doherty is thought to be filming the whole thing, given away by the fact that at the end of the performance, she asks him to “put this up right now, right now, right now”.
Dionne seems to actually have a really good voice, and with Winehouse teaching her, maybe we’re looking at a star of the future, or at least an X-Factor contestant. So what have we learned from this whole thing?
Firstly, Winehouse can’t play the guitar, and should just stick to singing. Secondly, she has a talented god-daughter, and thirdly, she and Doherty are clearly spending a lot of timing hanging out, and doing worthy things such as uploading impromptu covers to YouTube.
I wonder if we’ll ever get to see a proper release from all of this?

Dear Cripple,
No one has commented on your rubbish video because IT ISN’T ******* there to see. Get it together- find a nerd to help you, or a small child- one of the new ones who can use a mobile phone at birth.
