Led Zeppelin Full UK Tour Won’t Be Happening - Robert Plant Reveals Bad News
September 29, 2007 by Dave Parrack
Robert Plant has dashed the hopes of everyone who failed to get a ticket for the one off Led Zeppelin reunion concert in November by stating there will be no full tour forthcoming.
The Led Zeppelin frontman told the Daily Express:
“We need to do one last great show, because we’ve done some shows, and they’ve been crap.”
“I know I’m getting on, when I come back from touring I’m shocked to find a lot of my mates tend to be going to bed far too early, and that means I should probably be doing the same. Maybe I should stop having a good time and get old.”
This news is a real shame and I actually can’t see the logic in it. Purely going on the amount of people who applied for tickets to the one off 02 Arena gig on November 26th (Over a million) it’s easy to see that Led Zeppelin would have no trouble selling out a World tour let alone a UK Arena tour.
I suppose the problem is that they hardly need the money do they. Led Zeppelin may have been tempted out of retirement to support The Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund but there just isn’t the temptation there for them to go out on the road and slog their guts out, no matter how many people would give their right arm for a ticket.
The Cure Announce One Off Gig In March!
September 27, 2007 by Dave Parrack
Oh no they haven’t, oh yes they have. I can’t believe it but yeah, yet another legendary British group have decided to stage a one off gig.
The Cure may not be quite as legendary as Led Zeppelin but they are one of those classic British bands that people have wanted to see live since the day they stopped touring extensively.

The gig will take place at London’s Wembley Arena in March 2008, with tickets going on sale September 29th at 9am. There is a limit of 6 tickets per household but there will not be a repeat of the lottery system used for the Led Zeppelin concert.
Radiohead New Album Release Preceded By Mysterious Codes On Official Website
September 26, 2007 by Dave Parrack
The new Radiohead album has been recorded and mastered ready for release early next year, but more details than that have been hard to track down.
To give the fans some clues and to build the hype up ahead of the release, the British band have been leaving cryptic messages on their official website for the past week.

On the Hodiau Direkton part of the Dead Air Space website, visitors are treated to Radiohead hieroglyphs which contained messages such as “Yes we are still alive” and ” Blink your eyes one for yes two for no code code code”.
Well now, reportedly sooner than expected by Thom Yorke and co, the loyal fans have cracked the codes which may reveal the release date and some of the tracks included on the album.
KT Tunstall Swears Never To Do Drugs | Put Off After Seeing Amy Winehouse Pictures
September 25, 2007 by Dave Parrack
Amy Winehouse may be about to do something good for a change, as it seems the state she has been getting in from drug and alcohol abuse has started to put other artists off from going down the same road.
KT Tunstall, the Scottish pop songstress has now come out and stated categorically that she will never touch drugs after seeing the effect it has had on Winehouse.

She states that seeing photos of the MOBO award winner for Best Female on various drug binges over the last few months has put her off ever trying Class A drugs.
Pete Doherty Gives Kate Moss A Dead Rodent
September 24, 2007 by Dave Parrack
Pete Doherty is a chivalrous young man isn’t he?! Not only does he charitably give one of his pet kittens some of his prized cocaine stash, he also gives people presents. This latest one is a doozy as he’s allegedly presented former lover Kate Moss with a brooch which has a dead mouse attached to it. Freak.

He reportedly got the idea and inspiration for the bizarre gift from Kate Moss’ new train wreck bosum buddy Courtney Love, who gave a friend a similar gift a while back.
Amy Winehouse At The MOBOs Video | She Attempts To Sing Classic Songs And Bombs
September 22, 2007 by Dave Parrack
Amy Winehouse appeared at The MOBO Awards on Wednesday night (an achievement for her), and even ended up winning the award for Best UK Female. Unfortunately her performance on the night didn’t really live up to the hype, and has been universally derided in the tabloids since.
Not one for just taking these reports at face value, I went searching for it on YouTube, and I thought you could make your own minds up…
It seems for once the newspapers weren’t lying, or just laying in to Amy for the sake of it, that really was dreadful. What’s weird is that she performed at the Mercury Music Prize two weeks ago and blew everyone away with her voice, and commanding display of singing.
Stereophonics Frontman Kelly Jones Left Injured After Fight With After Party Bouncers
September 21, 2007 by Dave Parrack
Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones reportedly got in to a fight with bouncers which left him with a large gash on his right arm. The incident happened at the Amika nightclub in London at an after party for the Vodafone Live Music Awards.
The Stereophonics had earlier performed at the awards ceremony and was in attendance at the after show party with his girlfriend. It is thought that at about 1am Kelly entered the ladies toilets to find his girlfriend but was pursued by staff. Despite protestations that he was only in there looking for his other half, the security staff tried to eject him from the club and a scuffle ensued.

He then apparently staggered in to a glass vase which smashed injuring his right arm. Door staff called paramedics who arrived at the scene and treated him with first aid. He was then taken to hospital where he said to have had stitches.
MOBO Awards 2007 Full Results | Amy Winehouse & Kanye West Win Solo Awards
September 20, 2007 by Dave Parrack
The MOBOs is an annual awards ceremony held in the UK which highlights the influence of Music Of Black Origin, hence the name.
And this year it seemed to achieve its target quite well, honouring those who have taken black music and made it their own or added a personal twist to bring it to a new generation of fans.
Amy Winehouse won Best UK Female which isn’t bad for a white Jewish woman really. But its fitting, as anyone who likes her music can’t deny where the roots of her sound come from.
Kanye West won two of the three awards he was up for with Best Hip Hop and Best Video. This marked an incredible week for him after he beat 50 Cent to number 1 in the Album Charts.
